Another rainy day as we come towards the end of another wet dry season. I'm not complaining mind you. I still have a vivid memory of the dreadful dry season of 2010. Hose pipe bans and recycling washing machine and bath water to try and keep plants alive. The Pereskia Bleo - Rose Cactus is in both fruit and flower. A cactus with leaves? Yes its true.
To stray from the garden for a moment. I stood on my balcony this evening and watched the mega yacht Katara, owned by the Emir of Qatar making its stately progress out of the harbour, brilliant blue lights at the stern and the whole waterline lit up by underwater lights. Grenada is not a stranger to super yachts since the Camper & Nicholson Port Louis Marina was opened, but mega yachts are a whole different kettle of fish. More like a very fancy cruise ship. Local news has reported that the Emir was having talks with the Government, so we can but hope that during the two days the yacht was here that he has managed to line up some projects for investment. We certainly need it. Now I have piqued your curiosity this is what a mega yacht looks like.
